Although, now we have some pretty nice kicks from the NBAs biggest players; most of whom are black players, nearly 70 years ago, black and whites weren't even playing on the same court. As we celebrate Black History Month (BHM) with our new Jordan BHM IIIs, or even the Nike "Know Your History" tee, take time to think about the history and how far we as a people have came and how far as a people we have yet to go.
NBA FACTS: During the 1950-1951 Season, Chuck Cooper became the first black player to be drafted when he was chosen by Boston; Nat "Sweetwater" Clifton became the first black player to sign an NBA contract when he signed with New York, and Earl Lloyd became the first black player to play in an NBA regular-season game.
